About the journal
Human Ecology is a peer-reviewed Russian journal with a periodicity of 12 issues a year with the main focus on research and practice in the fields of human ecology and public health. The journal publishes original articles, review papers, short communications, editorial materials and news. The primary audience of the journal includes health professionals, environmental specialists, biomedical researchers and post-graduate students.
The Editorial Board and the Editorial Council consist not only of prominent Russian scientists from all over the country, but includes also international researchers.
All manuscripts go through a thorough peer-review procedure to ensure the quality of publications in the journal.
Human Ecology journal is recommended by the Higher Attestation Committee of the Russian Federation for publication of materials from doctoral dissertations in health sciences. The journal is included in the Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, indexed in Scopus, CAB Abstracts, Proquest and Global Health databases, Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), Indexed in Norwegian National Center for Research Data , InfoBase Index, EBSCO Publishing (EBSCOhost), is place in scientific digital public library “KiberLeninka”. It is included in the Russian Scientific Citation Index, listed in the Russian abstract journal and is included in databases of the All-Russian Institute of Scientific and Technical Information.
The journal was established in 1994 at the Northern State Medical University (Arkhangelsk). It was founded by the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Northern State Medical University and the Northern Research Center of the Northwestern branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. The journal is the first peer-reviewed scientific medium addressing the issues of human ecology in Russia.
