The content, structural, and convergent validity of the questionnaire were studied, as well as reliability by internal consistency.</p> <p>Purpose of the study consisted in the adaptation of the Questionnaire of Breast Cancer Perception on a Russian-speaking sample of women over 35 years old.</p> <p>Method: An online study was conducted in August 2025 through the platforms "Yandex.Tasks" and Anketolog. The sample consisted of 312 women aged 35–79 years (M = 44.2; SD = 9.1). The following methods were used: Questionnaire of Breast Cancer Perception (BCPS), Dispositional Optimism Test (LOT-R), eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS), an author's questionnaire "Plans for the future and self-examination" for diagnosing strategies for coping with anxiety and preventive behavior in cancer risk. Results: Breast cancer perception in Russian women over 35 years old has a multidimensional structure, including such factors as "Perceived fear and anxiety", "Perceived awareness and knowledge", "Belief in the effectiveness of treatment and prevention", "Social stigmatization of the disease", "Medical inertia and avoidance of examinations". Dispositional optimism and online literacy are more strongly associated with breast cancer perception than age, education, or income. At the same time, optimism increases belief in curability and reduces anxiety about the disease, while online literacy increases both. Conclusion: The adapted BCPS method demonstrates relevant sensitivity to the Russian context, which allows recommending it for use in diagnostic studies as one of the predictors of preventive behavior in the target study group.</p>
При этом оптимизм повышает веру в излечимость и снижает тревожность в отношении болезни, а онлайн-грамотность повышает и то, и другое.</p> <p>Заключение: Адаптированная методика BCPS демонстрирует релевантную чувствительность к российскому контексту, что позволяет рекомендовать ее для использования в диагностических исследованиях в качестве одного из предикторов профилактического поведения в целевой исследуемой группе.</p></trans-abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="zh"><p/></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>dispositional optimism</kwd><kwd>risk perception</kwd><kwd>breast cancer</kwd><kwd>eHealth literacy</kwd><kwd>BCPS scale development</kwd><kwd>onco-risk</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>диспозиционный оптимизм</kwd><kwd>перцептивные стратегии</kwd><kwd>рак молочной железы</kwd><kwd>онлайн грамотность в сфере информации о здоровье</kwd><kwd>адаптация методики BCPS</kwd><kwd>онко-риск</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>1.
