Blood samples were collected every 3 months for a year. Relationships between hormonal and climatic data were assessed using the Spearman correlation coefficient.</p> <p>RESULTS: Statistically significant variability was found in the levels of total iodothyronine fractions, thyroxine-binding globulin, estradiol, and antisperm antibodies (ASAB) in the men studied, showing correlations with climatic factors. Free iodothyronine levels in men exhibited a low-amplitude year-round rhythm and appeared independent of seasonal factors. In contrast, in women, both fractions positively correlated with daylength, while free thyroxine negatively correlated with air humidity. Overall, thyroid function parameters, regardless of gender, were positively correlated with daylength and air temperature, and negatively correlated with atmospheric pressure and humidity. The study suggests that, unlike in women, men exhibit minor circannual fluctuations in estradiol and ASAB levels that correspond to changes in daylength, atmospheric pressure, and air temperature.</p> <p>CONCLUSION: The findings indicate that the summer season, characterized by a long photoperiod, is associated with increased activity of the pituitary-thyroid axis. In contrast, ovarian function shows no significant correlation with daylength.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Обоснование. Полученные данные свидетельствуют о том, что летний период с длинным фотопериодом ассоциирован с повышенной активностью гипофизарно-тиреоидной оси, в то время как функция яичников не проявляет значимой зависимости от продолжительности светового дня.</p></trans-abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="zh"><p/></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>sex hormones</kwd><kwd>thyroid hormones</kwd><kwd>circannual rhythm</kwd><kwd>climate</kwd><kwd>European north</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>половые гормоны</kwd><kwd>тиреоидные гормоны</kwd><kwd>цирканнуальный ритм</kwd><kwd>климат</kwd><kwd>Европейский север</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was carried out within the framework of the program of fundamental scientific research of FCIAR UrB RAS according to the research project № 125021902585-2.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках программы ФНИР ФГБУН ФИЦКИА УрО РАН (номер гос. регистрации 125021902585-2) с использованием оборудования ЦКП КТ РФ-Арктика (ФИЦКИА УрО РАН).</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">1.
