URGENT PROBLEMS OF NORTHERN MAGNETOBIOLOGY Literature review

Karpin V.A.

Abstract

In recent decades, great achievements in the field of geology, astronomy and cosmology attracted attention of the scientific community to study of biotropic effects of heliogeophysical factors, especially to different anomalies of natural magnetic fields. A new branch in science - magnetic biology has appeared. Several strategic directions in study of magnetic biological effects have been outlined so far: importance of natural magnetic anomalies in complex biotropic impact of various adverse ecological factors on human body; interrelation of heliogeomagnetic activity with climatic elements of regions; study of features of magnetic biological effects in the territory of the northern latitudes where biogenic effects of heliogeomagnetic anomalies are most vivid. The obtained results necessitate the need of a wider research of heliogeophysical factors’ risk for population health in the northern urban territories.

SUBSTANTIAL ANALYSIS OF ATMOSPHERIC SUSPENSIONS IN BLAGOVESHCHENSK CITY

Golokhvast K.S., Chaplenko T.N., Pamirsky I.E.

Abstract

In the paper, results of a substantial study of nano- and microparticles of atmospheric suspensions contained in snow in winter 2011-2012 in Blagoveshchensk have been presented. Distribution of airborne particles of different origin in 25 areas of sampling differing in anthropogenic loadings has been determined. Large and average-sized traffic centers supply in the atmosphere microparticles of rubber, asphalt and various metals and their oxides (Fe, Ni, Co, Cu, Fe, Bi, W). Railway junctions are a source of microparticles of Fe and soot which get to the atmosphere because of friction of metal surfaces and diesel locomotive engines operation. Parks and suburban districts are a source of micro- and macroparticles of natural minerals and rocks and of vegetable detritus. It has been shown that composition of atmospheric suspensions of Blagoveshchensk completely corresponded to ecogeographi-cal prerequisites - the bank of two large rivers, small impact of enterprises and motor transport, a large railway junction.

CHOLESTEROL AND RISK OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN RURAL INDIGENOUS POPULATION OF REPUBLIC OF SAKHA (YAKUTIA)

Klimova T.M., Fedorova V.I., Baltakhinova M.E., Krivoshapkin V.G.

Abstract

According to the results of the cross-sectional study of rural indigenous population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), there has been studied the level of cholesterol and frequency of atherogenic changes of the lipid profile of the blood plasma. It has been found that in 35 % of the surveyed indigenous people, the level of cholesterol was 5.2 mmol/l or more, and in 10.8 % - 6.2 mmol/l or more. Among the persons with high cholesterol, atherogenic changes of the ratio of total cholesterol / HDL-C, LDL-C / HDL-C were observed in 19 % of the men and 8 % of the women (р = 0.014); logarithm (TRG / HDL-C ) - in 11 % of the men and women (p = 0.906). Thus, the high levels of the total cholesterol (5.2 mmol /l or more) in 80 % of the men and in 89% of the women was not accompanied by atherogenic changes in the lipid profile. This allows to consider the status of hypercholesterolemia in this population group in most of the cases as a manifestation of adaptive changes in lipid metabolism. The identified changes in atherogenic lipid profile were associated with presence of metabolic risk factors, what proves the need for determination of cholesterol in lipoprotein composition and a ratio of lipid fractions for choice of a right tactics for correction of the lipid risk factors.

CARDIORESPIRATORY SYSTEM’S INDICES IN YOUNG MEN WITH DIFFERENT BLOOD CIRCULATION TYPES

Olyashev N.V., Varentsova I.A., Pushkina V.N.

Abstract

It has been established that under stress-factor influence, responses of the cardiorespiratory system in the young men with the hyperkinetic type of blood circulation were connected with stimulation of chronotropic spectrum of central hemodynamics. In the young men with the eukinetic type of blood circulation, responses were connected with stimulation of inotropic spectrum of central hemodynamics. All the responses depended on the state of bronchial conductivity of the respiratory system. In the persons with the hypokinetic type of blood circulation, the external breath system was intensively included in compensatory activity. Influence of hemodynamical factors was insignificant in the persons with this type of blood circulation. A large degree of freedom in choice of different variants of responses to influences of stress-factors improves compensatory possibilities of the cardiorespiratory system in the young men with the hypokinetic type of blood circulation.

ENVIRONMENTAL SITUATION AND TRACE ELEMENT STATUS OF CHILDREN AGED 1-3 YEARS IN UNURBANIZED TERRITORY OF RUSSIAN EUROPEAN NORTH

Bakaeva E.A., Eremeyshvili A.V.

Abstract

With the use of the method of inverse voltammetry, we have analyzed some specific features of trace element status of children aged 1-3 years in Troitsko-Pechorsk of the Komi Republic taking into account the content of these elements in the environment (drinking water, snow cover). It has been found that the permissible content of zinc was observed in biosubstrates of 40 % of the examined children, copper - in 15 %, lead - in 20 %, and cadmium - in 65 %. The detected changes in the trace elements exchange in the examined children serve as a basis for formation of different diseases.

VISUAL PERCEPTION AND SENSORY-MOTOR REACTIONS PECULIARITIES OF 7-8-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN WITH STRABISMUS AND AMBLYOPIA

Volokitina T.V., Zotova A.A., Popova E.V.

Abstract

Under modern conditions, the schoolchildren’s sensor systems experience more strains because of increasing amount of information, training activities intensification, severization of requirements to accuracy and speed of cognitive processes what exerts negative influence on the visual analyzer state first of all. The cross-sectional research was conducted with the purpose of studying visual perception components and sensory-motor reactions parameters of 7-8-year-old children with strabismus and amblyopia. The results of the visual per ception components research with the use of the method of M. M. Bezrukikh, L. V. Morozova and sensory-motor reactions estimation with the help of the computer complex “Psychomat” of 118 children aged 7-8 years with normal and impaired vision have been presented. Decreased noise-immunity and visual perception constancy, visual analysis-synthesis realization lag have been revealed among the schoolchildren with strabismus and amblyopia. It has been found that sensory-motor reactions time in the children with strabismus and amblyopia was statistically longer than in children of the same age without impaired vision.
