CLINICAL-EPIDEMIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CHLAMYDIAL AND MYCOPLASMAL INFECTIONS AS SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RISK FACTORS

Abstract

The results of the analysis of foreign and domestic scientists’ studies in the sphere of reproductive and sexual health protection have been given in the article. The concept of sexual and reproductive health structure has been presented. The main reason of the negative tendency of acceleration of sexual and reproductive health deterioration pace observed in recent years was increasing STI/HIV incidence. There have been considered factors contributing to maintenance of high STI/HIV levels. Particular attention is paid to the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of contemporary clinical course of chlamydial and mycoplasmal infections which circulated widely in recent years.

Процессы воспроизводства населения России последних двух десятилетий характеризуются сохранением тенденции к росту смертности, уменьшению рождаемости, снижению жизнеспособности новорожденных и сокращению средней продолжительности жизни населения. В этой связи проблема охраны репродуктивного здоровья приобретает особую медико-социальную значимость. Согласно определению Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ), репродуктивное здоровье представляет собой «состояние полного физического, умственного и социального благополучия, а не просто отсутствие болезней или недугов во всех сферах, касающихся репродуктивной системы, ее функций и процессов» [32]. Оно является важной частью общественного здоровья и неразрывно связано с состоянием здоровья сексуального. В настоящее время в условиях высокой распространенности инфекций, передающихся половым путем (ИППП)/вируса иммунодефицита человека (ВИЧ) среди всех слоев населения поддержание сексуального здоровья становится обязательным условием сохранения и укрепления здоровья общественного.
